I created this blog as a type of virtual diary to document my journey into the world of muay thai, which I've decided to take on as a part in my larger wellness program.
A key thing I am trying to focus on in my larger wellness program is “accountability”, so one of my goals with this blog is to offer up a sense of accountability for myself by sharing what I'm doing and opening myself up for being called out when I'm slacking.
A really quick overview on me to help set the stage:
- Outside of taekwondo when I was a little kid, I have no martial arts/boxing experience
- I haven't participated in any formal, consistent exercise in 3+ years (and it shows)
- I have no desire to be a “real” fighter
- I have no interest in MMA-type training, purely focused on muay thai
Don't expect long, in-depth and well thought out posts. As I mentioned, this will be more of diary type thing where I dump out whatever is currently in my head.
